Here is what I came up with.

The supplies I used. Wafer cookies, round sandwich cream cookies, snack size baggies, and a print out I made.

Place the cookies in the bag to look like “100” add the paper topper and that’s it. Simple and cheap!

Valentine Party Treat 2

19 Feb

For the next treat I used a Pinterest idea. This was my inspiration.

Cupcakes: brownie mix, strawberry cake mix, and vanilla icing! super cute and I bet yummy!

I wanted to use the heart shaped foil containers I have had for 2 years now. I had all the ingredients so I went to baking. These actually turned out really well. They tasted so good. Kids and adults both had high reviews. I will be making these again! So here are the pictures of how I made mine and how they turned out. I tried to decorate each one different just for fun!

Valentines Party Treat 1

19 Feb

On to the yummy treats! I wanted a couple of cute and sweet treats for the kids (someone else was in charge of the healthy stuff). Here is what I did for the first one. Oh and I also wanted it to be easy and cheap for me. So I used pre-made, store bought, Valentine rice krispy treats $3.00 for 16 or 2 boxes. I found really cute heart boxes from the Hobby Lobby clearance isle, 20 boxes only $0.68, the package had been opened and I guess most of the goodies were lost. But all I needed were the boxes so it worked for me!  I used some styrofoam from packaging in a box.  The lollipop sticks I have had forever finally had a job, and the sprinkles I saved from a birthday would come in handy. Along with some red colored chocolates I could melt and dip in.

Okay so I put the boxes together, cut the styrofoam to fit, placed some red tissue to cover the styrofoam, stuck a stick in each rice krispy.

I melted the red chocolates, dipped each treat and then sprinkled them with sprinkles. Placed them on a large piece of styrofoam, to dry then poked them into cute little boxes. I thought they turned out cute. Kids ate them up too!

Groundhogs Day Snack

11 Feb

Thought this snack idea was too cute. I was so excited to make it for the preschool class. Unfortunately I didn’t give myself enough time and well I ended up making 4, and it took me about 20 mins. So the class didn’t get the snack but my kids did and they were thrilled to have it. So I found the idea on Pinterest,  and here is the link.  http://kitchenfunwithmy3sons.blogspot.com/2012/01/groundhog-day-desserts.html

This blog has wonderful ideas make sure and add it to your favorites!

I always change things up a bit so my version ended up looking like this.

I used these ingredients. But I didn’t picture the mini chocolate chips and chocolate icing for his little ears.

Hope you had a fun Groundhogs Day!

Crock Pot Ribs

25 Jan

Finger licking good! I found this easy super good recipe at “Mmm is for Mommy” through Pinterest. And Holy Yummy!

http://www.mmmisformommy.com/2011/09/easy-barbecued-ribs.html

I think I will be getting future request for ribs often around here! And when she says carefully move the ribs from the Crock Pot to the rack she means it, fall off the bone goodness! One more pic of my ribs (1st attempt ever at ribs) just because they are pretty!
